Father Victor Blazovich was appointed pastor of Sacred Heart Church by Bishop Daly on October 1, 2021.
Father Vic has served in a variety of parishes over the years of his priesthood, most recently as pastor of the parishes in Pend O'reille County, with Saint Anthony Church in Newport as his base.
Father Vic is a "native" of our parish, having spent his early years with his family living behind the family store on Southeast Blvd and 14th Ave. He was baptized and made his first Holy Communion at Sacred Heart so his return now as pastor is a spiritual homecoming for him.
Father Vic also serves the Diocese of Spokane as Vicar for Finances.
Deacon Brian Ernst together with his partner in ministry and wife, Julie, have been serving our parish community since Brian's ordination on August 10, 2012. Brian and Julie were married at Sacred Heart Parish. They have five children (Shawna, Casie, Jacqueline, Jacob, Joshua) and five grandchildren (Noah, Estelle, Cameron, Hudson, and Burton).
Julie has retired as a medical technologist for PAML, where she worked for over twenty years. Brian has been an attorney for over thirty-five years; presently in the field of workers compensation.
Julie has been the chair of the Pastoral Council since September 2015. As deacon, Brian serves at the altar for weekend Mass; helps with baptisms and funerals. Brian is the 6:30 a.m. daily Mass deacon at the Cathedral and volunteers at the House of Charity.
Brian and Julie deeply love our Sacred Heart Parish family.
