Jesus, our brother and Lord.
I know you are near and your care for your people is great.
In this time of contagion, so many of us are not able to welcome you into our hearts by joining with our sisters and brothers in the Eucharist and Holy Communion. We hunger and thirst for you and our present fasting from the Eucharist only deepens our longing.
I invite you now into my heart and the hearts of all who long for deep communion with you, your Father, and the Holy Spirit.
May the spiritual communion I now enjoy be also a communion of love and care with all the faithful, all our parishioners, all our neighbors, all who are sick, all who tend to the sick, all who have died, and all who presently grieve.
In this time of contagion, make my heart your home so that I can share your love with all whom I know and love.
Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
