Father Kevin announced to the parish at the weekend Masses of August 14-15 that Bishop Daly has appointed Father Victor Blazovich as pastor of Sacred Heart Church, commencing October 1, 2021. 
Father Vic comes to Sacred Heart after many years as pastor of the parishes in Pend Oreille County, headquartered at Saint Anhony Church in Newport. Father Vic also serves as Vicar for Finance in the offices of the Diocese of Spokane.. 
Father Vic considers Sacred Heart as his "home parish" since he spent his early years in this parish and was baptized, received First Communion, and was confirmed here. His family owned a small store in the Perry District for many years.
